The Dandy Warhols- ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down (1997)
...The Dandy Warhols Come Down is the second album by American alternative rock group The Dandy Warhols released on July 15, 1997. The album helped popularize the group and is certified Silver in the United Kingdom.

...The Dandy Warhols Come Down includes three singles-- "Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth," "Every Day Should Be a Holiday," and "Boys Better." The first single became a popular hit for The Dandy Warhols and helped to draw a larger fan-base, transitioning to a more psychedelic power-pop sound than their debut studio album. Other notable tracks on the album include, "Good Morning," "Minnesoter," "Orange," "Green," and "Hard On for Jesus."

Notable of the album is that it has sold 103,000 copies as of 2008 and is included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. The album was even given favorable reviews by Rolling Stone Magazine, who stated that "[...The Dandy Warhols Come Down is] the most exhilarating '60s-into-'90s excursion yet attempted by an American band," and later adding: "if this is The Dandy Warhols coming down, the mind boggles at the thought of them flying high."

I personally had not heard of the band until a recommendation from my cousin and Uncle, of which The Dandy Warhols' had inspired some of my Uncle's music (available at http://www.itsthejerrys.com). Once I gave ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down its first listen, I became a 'Dandys' fan for life. The Dandy Warhols has even inspired some music on my new album that is currently in the making.
