The Black Crowes- Shake Your Money Maker
Shake Your Money Maker is the debut album by American rock band The Black Crowes released on January 24, 1990. The album peaked at #4 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart.

Shake Your Money Maker includes four singles-- "Hard to Handle," "She Talks to Angels," "Jealous Again," and "Twice as Hard." The first two singles ended up both eventually reaching #1 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Chart, as well as "Jealous Again" and "Twice as Hard" charting #75 and #11, respectively.

Notable of the album is that it has become The Black Crowes' highest selling album currently at 5 million copies sold. Also, all of the songs on the album were written by brothers Chris Robinson (vocals) and Rich Robinson (guitar), who both founded the band, excluding "Hard to Handle." The album has been described by critics as heavily influenced and rooted by the rock group Aerosmith, with guitarist Rich Robinson admitting it himself. However, The Black Crowes have more of a southern-rock rooted style in their music than their predecessors Aerosmith, who are from Boston, Massachusetts. The Black Crowes were also notable for appearing on the cover of an issue of Rolling Stone Magazine in 1991 for being fired from a tour with the American rock group ZZ Top in the same year.
