The Beatles- The Beatles (1968)
The Beatles, commonly referred to as "The White Album," is the ninth studio album by the British rock group The Beatles released on November 22, 1968. The White Album is the only double album of The Beatles studio catalog. The album has been certified 19x Platinum in the United States, 8x Platinum in Canada, and Platinum in the United Kingdom. The album peaked at #1 on the UK Albums Chart and the U.S. Billboard 200.

The album did not have any singles released with it but has a multitude of popular songs with radio airplay, including: "Back in the U.S.S.R.," "Dear Prudence," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Blackbird," "Birthday," "Yer Blues," "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey," "Helter Skelter," "Revolution 1," and "Revolution 9."

According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), The Beatles remains the highest selling Beatles album in the United States at an estimated 19,000,000 unit sales. Also notable of The White Album is that it has charted two additional times besides 1968. The LP was reissued in 1987 on CD when it charted on the UK Albums Chart at #17. The third time The Beatles charted was in 2009 when all of The Beatles' albums were remastered and reissued, charting at #21 on the UK Albums Chart and at #7 on the U.S. Billboard Top Pop Catalog Albums Chart.
