A cover version of the rock song "Big Fat Mama" by the band Status Quo with both guitar solos included. The video features two guitars-- the main guitar is shown as an enlarged PIP (picture-in-picture) while the rhythm guitar is pictured as the main video. Both guitars are recorded and played by Alexander Schwartz. All music written by Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt.
"Big Fat Mama" is the fifth song on the fifth studio album by British rock group Status Quo released on December 15, 1972. Although the song was not released as a single, the album was commercially successful in the United Kingdom where it reached #5 in the charts and spent a total of 37 weeks there.
Please note that the audio mix between the two guitars was disoriented during the uploading process and viewers should exercise caution when using headphones. I apologize for the inconvenience. Also, the song cover is not intended to be exactly note for note and I did make a couple of mistakes. I am only human after all and a self-taught musician who has never taken a lesson.
Both videos were recorded via a Logitech USB Microphone plugged into a MacBook Pro and edited with YouTube Editor. The guitar featured in both videos are a Samick Avion AV6 Greg Bennett Design Electric Guitar played through a VOX Valvetronix VT15 Combo Amplifier.
