An original guitar solo video for rock music including a rhythm guitar audio track. All music written, recorded, and produced by Alexander Schwartz; 2015.
The video features two guitars-- the rhythm guitar [audio track] is playing a repeated chord progression using the power chords G5, Bb5, and C with a few pull-offs from the 2nd string to the 1st string at various points. The lead guitar [video] is playing a guitar solo using mainly the G Minor Pentatonic Scale in different locations across the fretboard.
The guitar solo is an improvisation and two takes were recorded on June 14, 2015, the last take being the video featured here. The rhythm guitar was recorded in one take. Please note that I did not intend the solo to be exactly note for note in accordance with the G Minor Pentatonic Scale and that I did make some mistakes. I am only human after all and a self-taught musician who has never taken a lesson.
Both the video and audio were recorded via a Nady SP-5 USB Microphone plugged into a MacBook Pro and edited with iMovie. The guitar featured in both the audio and video is a Samick Avion AV6 Greg Bennett Design Electric Guitar played through a Marshall DSL15H/MX-212 Tube Amplifier.
